Thomas planted a bunch of new plants in the yard this year. But not all of them have propered. I found this one morning glory peeking out of a little corner of a flower bed.
I was really excited to see these four oriental poppy pods - this means four beautiful flowers all at once. I especially like how they are all the same height and all in a row.
One of my favorite flowers in our garden is my Oriental Poppies. I have been waiting for these to bloom for a while now. I love the color and shape of these flowers.
*Please note: Since my Retinal Detachment I am only able to see out of one eye. I also only have about 15 minutes each day when I can go and take pictures. And I actually can't go anywhere - so all my pictures are from my yard. I hope it doesn't get too boring.
I was lucky enough to walk through the garden this morning and get this picture of some Blue Flax. It wasn't long after that the wind started blowing and I had a difficult time taking any pictures outside after that.
Taking a walk today I stopped by a little garden off of the sidewalk. I noticed this great Bachelor's Button. I liked the way the sun was hitting it.
Today I turned 47 years old. Isn't it funny - when you are young this number seems so old, now that I am here - it doesn't. I still feel young - well at least young at heart. So here is to 1961 and to my birthday.
As I was walking on the property I noticed all these beetles everywhere. So I took a bunch of pictures. Not sure if this is a ground beetle but it is the closest I could come to identifying it.
